High school physical education continues to teach students proper motor skills and the importance of motor skills. Students also continue to learn rules, regulations, dimensions, and skills of specific sports. More group games are involved with the specific sports. Students also teach specific sports to other students at various grade levels. High school students also train and perform for the Presidential Physical Fitness Test.
The High School Health curriculum uses the Prentice Hall Health Skills for Wellness book. Projects are given every six weeks. Subjects covered are: nutrition mental health, drugs, relationships, and STD’s. Students write papers and give oral presentations.
